The number of people living alone in Flanders has increased sharply in the recent years. Other forms of housing such as temporary accommodation, kangaroo homes, redevelopment sites, living on water... are becoming very important. In response to these new needs, a plot in a future development area at the Port of Ghent is being made available to provide compact and temporary housing units for single people. 

 

Dok Noord, living on water is a small residence for one person aiming at a maximum spatial experience. The unit has a surface of ​​54m² and can be reached via a jetty.
