Allow me to introduce myself briefly: Hi, I’m Xenia Maes — a 27-year-old interior designer and visual artist. Welcome to my portfolio - NOVA.

Inspired by the stars, Nova means “new,” “light,” and “beginning.”

A metaphor for what I create — spaces and art that illuminate, evolve, and inspire new beginnings. My art symbolizes transformation and renewal. My interior design embodies fresh energy and rebirth.

These disciplines are central to my identity and practice. I’m fascinated by the way they intersect, overlap, and challenge one another. Through my work, I explore the dialogue between space, object, and image — aiming to reduce the boundaries between them and create a more fluid, integrated approach to design and visual expression. I value the balance between traditional making methods and digital tools, using both to shape thoughtful, multi-layered work. Through my work, I strive to bring unique projects to life that weave captivating narratives centered on themes of freedom, diversity, and openness. ​​
